Approach the New Testament from a historical perspective to provide grounding for understanding these often misunderstood foundational documents. Lectures include historical context, gospels’ distinctive portrayals of Jesus Christ, Acts, Paul and his letters, other letters, Revelation and more. The author/speaker is Bart Ehrman widely published and popular Professor of Religious Studies, U of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Presented in the Zoom video lecture format with time for discussion. Suggested readings and an outline will be provided.
