Day 2 • Madrid to Leon
It is 9:45 pm in Madrid and it has been over 24 hours since sleeping comfortably on something horizontal. We are beat but our spirits are actually pretty high. Being actually in Spain definitely helps. There were a few small joys throughout the last 24 hours of travel that we would love to share. We all bonded over having the same experience of being both extremely tired but also extremely excited for our adventure. We had lots of loopy tired laughs and met some wonderful and interesting people. So far we are feeling very blessed, but perhaps we will feel a little more thrilled after a good night’s sleep. As we wrap today up, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the care and hospitality of everyone we have encountered. It is an amazing thing to meet new people in a new country and make connections.
Travel certainly bonds people together.
