AARP Smart Driver Class | Saturday, May 7 | 8:45 am – 1:00 pm $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members.

After a two-year break from in-person classes, the AARP Smart Driver Class has been updated and is now offered again. To keep one’s driver safety discount on your auto insurance policy, this class must be taken every three years. This course is founded on research-based adult safe driving strategies that will help keep you and others safe on the road. You will refresh your driving skills and your knowledge of the rules — and hazards — of the road, reduce your chances of receiving a traffic violation or getting into an accident, and understand the effects of medication on driving. You will also learn preventive measures to reduce driver distractions and how to properly use safety belts, air bags, and anti-lock brakes. The class includes state-specific rules and regulations in 19 key areas, including construction zones, child safety seats, school buses, cellphone use and more.
