Gerry and Don have been members at St Andrew for over three decades. During that time, they have served St Andrew in a variety of ways. However, the greatest testament to a servant’s heart has been watching Don’s devotion and care of Gerry in recent years. They were reunited just before Valentine’s Day and it is without a shadow of a doubt that their love endures into the next life.
Loving God, we lift this prayer to remember Don and Gerry Kelley and ask Your help to give us strength in our grief. Let Your unfailing love and mercy continue to be ever-present and let our hearts find rest in the promise of comfort, hope, and new life again. Amen.
We hold close this passage from Romans 8:38-39 as a reminder of God’s unyielding love for all of us: “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
