Dear St. Andrew Family,
Given the new CDC Guidelines and the local “substantial” infection rate, St. Andrew encourages everyone, even if fully vaccinated, to wear a mask for in-person worship, beginning with this weekend’s services. Even though all the St. Andrew staff and weekend volunteers are fully vaccinated, out of an abundance of caution, we feel that this safety measure is important to protect our community at this time.
Please also consider worshiping at Saturday’s 5 pm Evensong service or Sunday’s 10:30 am service so there will be more room to physically spread out during all services.
The COVID Response Team is reconvening to evaluate available information and make recommendations for the St. Andrew community. We are monitoring new information and guidelines closely and will adjust and respond as conditions change. We do not foresee any reduction in worship services, classes, meetings, or events because of the high vaccination rate amongst our community members ages 12 – 100+.
Our St. Andrew family can once again demonstrate love for each other and our community by being vaccinated if possible, staying home when not feeling well, and by wearing masks when indoors in crowded, public spaces. Thank you, St. Andrew UMC for caring for each other so well!
Be well, friends. Take good care of yourselves and each other.
Blessings,
Lana Banbury
