WHAT
Explore the region through walking the Nativity trail. The Nativity Trail is 11 days of walking around 100 miles starting in Nazareth and ending in Bethlehem. The last two days of the trip will be in Amman, Jordan. Please contact us for the full itinerary or fill out this form.
As part of this trip, educational classes are required. These will take place once a week starting in January and leading up to the trip. These classes will help us get to know each other and give us historical and political context of the region.
WHEN
Leave the United States March 16 and arrive back in the United States by March 31, 2022.
WHO
This trip is for women/nonbinary or genderqueer people/femmes. You must be able to walk the mileage, be open to having difficult conversations, and have previous experiences with travel. Space is limited, there are only 20 spots, please reach out as soon as possible.
This trip is being led by Rev. Amy Stapleton and Lexi Banbury.
WHERE
We will begin our journey in Nazareth and walk south until Bethlehem. We will be staying in various hotels, community organizations, and with families. You will not be expected to carry all of your equipment – only a day pack is expected for walking travel.
WHY
Explore the past and current political challenges in the the region, and understand more current context of Jesus’ home.

How much does it cost?
We’re working out the details on cost based on prices in the region, our walking guides, and St. Andrew’s funding contribution. We’re estimating around $1500-$2200/person (including flights). If you need financial help to make this trip possible please let us know.
Is it safe?
Yes. We’ll discuss this during our educational sessions leading up to the trip.
What are the educational sessions?
We’ll be meeting to learn more about each other and the historical and political context of the region.
