Everybody Hurts

Today we begin a new series called Songs That Sing Us Back, exploring songs that have given voice to our deepest joys and struggles. This morning's message pairs R.E.M.'s Everybody Hurts with the story of Elijah, reminding us that faith does not require us to hide our pain. Instead, it assures us that God meets us with compassion, often through the presence and care of others, especially when life feels too heavy to carry alone.

As you listen today, remember that whatever you may be carrying, you were never meant to carry it by yourself. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is hold on, reach out, and allow others to walk beside us.
