Mission and Vision
We believe justice is a core teaching of Jesus Christ.
Our baptismal vows as United Methodists include our commitment “to resist evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves.” The pursuit of justice and compassion are at the core of faithful action. As a community, we seek to move beyond acts of mercy to transforming systems that perpetuate injustice and harm. Created in the image of God, we seek to live in covenant with God and the world and honor the dignity of all beings.
Your Voice Matters. Your Actions Matter.

Justice at St. Andrew

Gender & Sexuality
We affirm that all persons are of sacred worth, created in the image of God. Human sexuality and gender diversity and expression are gifts from God “intended to add to the rich variety of human experience and perspective” (from the United Methodist Social Principles). We embrace Jesus’ message that God loves everyone and are proud to celebrate diversity as we work to live our vision of radical hospitality.

Together Colorado Lobby Day at the Capitol
Monday, March 23 | 8:30 am – 1 pm
Be heard! Meet directly with your legislators to advocate for policies that ensure every Coloradan can thrive no matter one’s race, zip code, or income. No experience necessary. Participants will gather in the morning to receive a brief training and be connected with their lobbying groups. This is a great way to learn by shadowing more experienced participants. If you'd like to ride the St. Andrew shuttle bus, we plan to meet at the church at 7:15 am for a 7:30 am departure; please register for Lobby Day and sign up for the shuttle using the two links below.

Climate and Eco Justice
Climate change threatens all of God’s creation. The climate crisis is not problem in isolation but intersects with poverty, human rights, and violence. Moved by our faith and working together in coalition and community, together we can reduce the impact on the local environment and world beyond us.
Our Pledge: St. Andrew accepts this stewardship entrusted to us and commits to care for God’s earth and all creation when making decisions about church operations, initiatives and events.
Our Commitment: St. Andrew is dedicated to supporting programs, practices and ministries that grow environmental stewardship.
